This Privacy Policy explains how LockedHQ collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our mobile applications, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed by LockedHQ through: (a) the LockedHQ mobile app, (b) the website at lockedhq.com, and (c) support and operational communications. This Policy does not apply to third-party services that are not controlled by LockedHQ.

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account data such as name, email address, and profile details.
  • Challenge content you create (goals, cadence, duration, stake settings, custom proof rules).
  • Proof submissions, including images and related comments/approvals from participants.
  • Support requests and other communications sent to LockedHQ.

2.2 Financial and Transaction Information

  • Wallet-related records, such as deposit amounts, transaction status, and challenge-linked balances.
  • Payment details may be processed by payment partners; LockedHQ may not store full payment card numbers.

2.3 Device and Usage Information

  • App performance and diagnostics data (for reliability, debugging, and abuse prevention).
  • Device and network data such as IP address, device identifiers, app version, and operating system details.

2.4 Health and Fitness Information (Optional)

  • Health and activity data from Apple HealthKit, only when you explicitly grant permission.

3. How We Collect Information

  • Directly from you when you sign up, create challenges, submit proof, or contact support.
  • Automatically when you use the Services (for security, operation, and analytics).
  • From integrations you authorize (such as Apple HealthKit permissions).
  • From other challenge participants when they invite you, approve submissions, or interact in challenge contexts.

4. How We Use Information

  • Provide and operate the Services.
  • Create and manage user accounts.
  • Enable challenge setup, participation, and progress tracking.
  • Process deposits, wallet activity, and related transactional records.
  • Support proof submission and participant approval flows.
  • Maintain security, detect fraud/abuse, and enforce policies.
  • Improve product quality, reliability, and user experience.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
  • Communicate important updates, notices, and support responses.

6. How We Share Information

LockedHQ may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: vendors supporting hosting, infrastructure, analytics, payments, customer support, and security.
  • Challenge Participants: proof submissions, challenge activity, and approvals are visible to relevant participants by design.
  • Legal and Safety: to comply with law, lawful process, or to protect users, rights, and platform integrity.
  • Corporate Transactions: in connection with mergers, financings, acquisitions, restructurings, or asset transfers.

LockedHQ does not sell personal information for money. If our practices ever change in ways that create opt-out obligations under applicable law, we will provide the required notices and controls.

7. Health and Fitness Data

Health data is sensitive. LockedHQ accesses Apple HealthKit data only after your explicit permission. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings.

  • Used solely for app functionality related to challenge tracking and progress.
  • Not used for advertising or cross-context behavioral profiling.
  • Not sold by LockedHQ.

If you choose not to grant HealthKit permissions, you can still use core app functionality with manual challenge tracking.

8. Photo Proof and Challenge Approvals

For custom and proof-based challenges, users may upload images to demonstrate completion. Other participants may review and approve submissions under the challenge rules.

  • Proof content is intended for challenge participants and operational review workflows.
  • Participants should avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information.
  • LockedHQ may retain proof data for dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and compliance.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

10. Security

LockedHQ uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Transfers

Depending on where you use the Services, personal information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

12. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Access and obtain a copy of certain personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete personal information.

  • We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
  • If required by law, we will provide state-specific notices and opt-out methods.
  • If required by law, we will process verified requests and provide an appeal mechanism where applicable.

14. Children's Privacy

LockedHQ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without legally required parental consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

The Services may contain links to third-party websites, stores, or tools. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services we do not control, and we encourage you to review those third-party privacy policies.
